Overview

The Devon Rex is one of the most unique and beloved cat breeds, known for its pixie-like face, large ears, and soft, wavy coat. These cats are full of personality and are often described as "dog-like" for their loyalty and playful nature.

Breed Origin

The Devon Rex originated in Devon, England, in the 1960s. The breed began with a curly-coated kitten named Kirlee, whose unusual fur texture was due to a natural genetic mutation different from the Cornish Rex. Breeders realized the potential and began a breeding program to preserve this unique gene.
